Jaimi and Steve introduced beautiful little Harry to the world earlier this year in late May, and it was the following June that Jami brought him along to me for his newborn session. Born into a family full of love, surrounded by not just his parents, but his older brother Jack as well. I was overtaken by a warm sense of nostalgia as I photographed little Harry, seeing so much of his older brother Jack in him, who I also had the pleasure of capturing almost two and a half years ago now. I thoroughly enjoyed photographing baby Harry. After much discussion with Jaimi about the desired design and style of Harry’s newborn session, we decided to wrap him in a beautiful, deep blue colour that brought out the most amazing orange tones in his skin. This along with soft sunlight that danced across face made for such a subtle, and yet wonderful display of colour.

From the beginning of the session right up until we finished, Harry maintained such a calm composure. Always the perfect little subject, he remained ever so still with only the slightest curling of his fingers, or a wrinkle of his little nose from time to time.

It’s sessions just like Harry’s and his brother Jack’s before him, that remind me of why I do this. Producing images which act as snapshots into a moment of someone’s life. These sessions provide me with the drive to keep shooting and fuel my passion for photography, allowing me to continue to create memories that can be cherished for decades to come.
