Children have the most amazing amazing imaginations and creativity, that we seem to loose as we become adults. And sometimes it just needs to be captured. Being a children’s portrait photographer is something that I absolutely love doing.  We forget how exciting our stories and child hood games are. The dress ups and imaginary play of being a princess, a fairy or even a super hero. The inquisitiveness that comes with a three year old in a new environment. How different the world look from their perspective! I was reminded of all this when I recently went to a workshop held by the super amazingly talented Barb Uil of Jinky Art. I spent two amazing days being mentored by Barb (which I had been dreaming of for years!) and we got some amazing photos as well. When I came back home to my children I paid more attention to the stories they were telling me and I felt the creativity flow through me again. Now my head goes into overdrive thinking of different photo shoots to do.
