Jai|Orange & Bathurst Newborn Photographer

I am going to admit I love being a newborn photographer BUT I am a terrible blogger! I know that nowadays in such a digital society that it is the way that you can see the work that I do. But posting here is probably the last thing that I think to do. I am not very good at putting my thoughts into words and don’t want to sound cliche with everything that I write here. Hence why these particular images are only appearing now. My most favourite part of being a newborn photographer is meeting the parents and seeing the glow and happiness on their faces as they introduce their new addition to their family. Capturing these first moments of them as a family. I am definitely a people person, I love interacting with my clients face to face.

I remember when I took these photos of Jai the happiness on his parents faces, the joy of their new son. All too much these days do we forget to stop and remember these little things. We lead such busy lives that we just forget to stop and smile.

I would love for you to keep up to date with my latest work as a newborn photographer on my Facebook Page

Jamie | Male Portraits

Male portraits…..Yes men want their portraits done too! Isn’t just for us women, kids or families!

Men shouldn’t be afraid or embarrassed to have a photo session. Men should be able to celebrate who they are also. They shouldn’t only be in photos with other people at a wedding, or the birth of their child or in a family photo. Remember that photos are a window to our memories. They are something we can bring out when we are older and show our kids or grand kids and say  “This was me when I was young.”

Jamie had approached me as he had been doing a 12week fitness challenge at the gym and wanted to get some shots of himself looking healthy and fit. And of course I jumped at the opportunity as it is nice to shoot something a little different from my normal sessions. And quite frankly I wouldn’t mind doing more of these. Male portraits should been seen more often, it isn’t just for models. Men should be proud of who they are.

I thank Jamie for contacting me to do the session, it was a very relaxed and fun session.

I would love if you could check out my other work and follow my Facebook page

Molong Family Photos | Orange & Bathurst Photographer

This post has been a long time coming. I actually photographed this family last year, and to me it will always be one of my most remembered family sessions….These Molong family photos are going to be treasured for many years to come.

Lat year I got a phone call from my Cath saying that they URGENTLY needed family photos, her father Phil wasn’t well, and could I travel out to Molong that weekend for some family photos. As everyone from far and wide was travelling in to see him. Of course I said not a problem.

So that weekend I travelled out to Molong, and what I got was totally unexpected. Normally when you get larger groups there is a little bit of stress with getting the shot. I had also imagined everyone getting stressed trying to get ready for the photos. But no, I arrived to find everyone in an overwhelmingly happy mood and all set to go!! It was fantastic! They were all so carefree and relaxed, and from the pictures below you see the amazing love that this family have for each other.

They spent time reminiscing and laughing, mucking around, the men had a few beers. We even recreated one of the family photos from when they were younger, which they showed me up at the house before we started. We even finished of the family photos with the adult sibling running around the paddock giving each other piggy back rides… and to top it off we had a gorgeous sunset!

Sadly though in June Phil lost his fight and passed away in June. My heartfelt condolences go out to their family xx
